I was brought into the production process late for Pitchfork Disney. Rankin, the director wanted me to focus on the lobby display and giving information about Philip Ridley rather than the show itself, as he had already coached the actors with his own research. In the lobby, Rankin wanted the audience to be shocked and horrified at what they were seeing with almost no preparation, as in-yer-face should be. The lobby display included warnings of graphic content and an age restriction, but no other context was given unless requested. Rankin created a board with information about in-yer-face theatre and Pitchfork Disney's context while my board focused on Ridley. Rankin and I agreed that we wanted to showcase his versatility as an author and theatre artist.
